Our Kitchen Container is much more than just a kitchen – it's the heart of the EVOC campus, blending coziness with architecture, creativity with exuberance, and a healthy lifestyle with plenty of conviviality.

After 15 years of steady growth and a significant expansion of the EVOC team, we have enhanced our historic printing plant site with a very special highlight: Two 20-foot high cube shipping containers are set to become the new creative hub and a place for people to meet. Innovative design combined with clean lines and premium equipment made from sustainable materials creates an exciting contrast between an industrial look and the coziness of Giesing.

Planning and Construction: From Container to Creative Space

We ship our products all over the world in overseas containers. So the source of inspiration for a room on the EVOC campus is obvious: two 20-foot high-cube shipping containers are to serve as a home and creative space for the entire team.

The design firm SUGO, in collaboration with Artdepartment Berlin GmbH, EVOC Managing Director Holger Feist, and product designer Tobias Reischle, took on the task of realizing the container project. The construction process was akin to building a house: from the steel structure to insulation, electricity, water supply, and heating, down to material selection and painting. In a factory outside Berlin, two freight containers were gradually transformed into the EVOC Kitchen Container. Industrial container elements are intentionally combined with minimalist kitchen design. The original eucalyptus wood floor is retained, while an original container wall is integrated as a kitchen backsplash.
